In 1993 I assumed the full-time position of Director of the North Central
Regional Aquaculture Center (NCRAC). This is one of five USDA, Cooperative
State Research, Education, and Extension Service Regional Aquaculture
Centers. NCRAC serves a 12-state region in the heartland of America.
Information about the Center
can be found at the NCRAC
Web site.
Prior to becoming the Director of NCRAC I had been involved in a number
of research activities including work on tropical pond aquaculture (Pond
Dynamics/Aquaculture Collaborative Research and Support Program),
Saginaw Bay wetlands, and primary producers in the St. Marys River,
the connecting channel between Lake Superior and Lake Huron.
