Background:

I am the Assistant Unit Leader for fisheries at the Pennsylvania Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit (PACFWRU). As a US Geological Survey scientist, and I have adjunct faculty appointments at The Pennsylvania State University in the Department of Ecosystem Science and Management and at Michigan State University in the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife. In my position at the PACFWRU I am responsible for conducting fisheries research, both basic and applied, in collaboration with Unit cooperators as well as for other clients of the US Geological Survey. I also provide technical advice and assistance to Federal, State, and private conservation agencies involved with fisheries research. As an adjunct faculty member I contribute to Pennsylvania State University and Michigan State University by mentoring graduate students and teaching graduate-level courses.
