Biography: Alex Maguffee is a M.S. student working for Dr. Mike Jones in the Quantitative Fisheries Center. His research interests include fisheries management, population dynamics, and modeling. Alex obtained his B.S. in wildlife biology from the University of Michigan- Flint, where he worked as a research assistant examining the effects of passive integrated transponder (PIT) tags on the larvae of invasive sea lamprey. At MSU, Alex’s research focuses on the use of otolith microchemistry to determine the natal origin of Chinook salmon in the Great Lakes.
